Constitution of the Republic of Komi, article 89.

The Government of the Republic of Komi is the supreme executive authority of the Republic of Komi.

The composition of the Government of the Republic of Komi: the Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Komi, deputies of the Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Komi, and ministers of the Republic of Komi.

The Head of the Republic of Komi can introduce other persons in the Government of the Republic of Komi on the proposal of the Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Komi.

Decision on the formation of the Government of the Republic of Komi is taken by the Head of the Republic of Komi on or prior to one month from the moment of his accession to the office.

Legal status of the Government of the Republic of Komi and its functioning way are defined by the law of the Republic of Komi in compliance with federal legislation.

Executing its authority, the Government of the Republic of Komi issues decrees and orders.

Constitution of the Republic of Komi, article 90.

The Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Komi is appointed by the Head of the Republic of Komi by approbation of the State Council of the Republic of Komi, and is relieved by the Head of the Republic of Komi.

The Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Komi is appointed on terms of office of the Head of the Republic of Komi.

The Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Komi keeps authorities until a new Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Komi takes the office in order required by the law of the Republic of Komi.

In case of temporal absence of the Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Komi (vacation, disease or business trip) duties of the Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Komi are executed by one of the deputies of the Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Komi in compliance with duties distribution between deputies of the Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Komi.

Constitution of the Republic of Komi, article 91.

The Government of the Republic of Komi works out and executes measures on implementing overall social and economic development of the Republic of Komi, conducts unified state policy in finance, science, education, health, culture, physical culture and sports, social service, road safety and ecology.

In order to implement measures specified in first part of this article, the Government of the Republic of Komi exercises authority in compliance with federal legislation, Constitution of the Republic of Komi, and laws of the Republic of Komi.

The Government of the Republic of Komi interacts with federal public authorities, executive public authorities of other constituents of the Russian Federation, public authorities of the Republic of Komi, and local authorities and organizations.

Within its power the Government of the Republic of Komi is entitled to hold negotiations, make contracts and agreements, as well as make contracts and agreements in international and foreign economic relations in compliance with federal legislation and legislation of the Republic of Komi.
